What I Actually Used For An Infant: My Essential Lifesavers

Hello, cherished mamas! 🌸

Ah, the glorious infant stage. A whirlwind of tiny coos, gentle touches, and countless diaper changes. As we embrace motherhood, we're often bombarded with a myriad of product suggestions, each promising to be the magic solution to our parenting challenges. Today, I'm pulling back the curtain to share my own tried-and-true favorites. And just to be transparent, this is an unsponsored post—every item I mention is one I genuinely loved and believe might bless other parents too.

1. The Owlet Sock and Webcam:The early days, with every tiny noise my little one made, I'd spring into action, panic mode engaged. The Owlet sock and webcam became my knight in shining armor, ensuring he was okay and letting me catch some zzz’s. While there have been some instances where they were not as glorious to other parents, I made sure to wash the sock with a toothbrush and soap at least once every two weeks and I never had any issues.

2. Boba Baby Wrap:This was my personal superhero cape. Whether I was tackling a messy house, shopping, or savoring moments at a restaurant, my Boba wrap held my baby snug and close, echoing the comforting rhythm of my heartbeat.

3. Freda Baby Nose Sucker:Okay, stay with me here. The tiniest of noses and those bulb suckers? Not the best match. But the Freda? Game-changer. As my son grew, even the pediatric pros gave it the nod. I’ve had no less than three nurses and doctors suggest them while fighting allergies and even Covid. And trust me, you’ll move past the initial "ick" factor sooner than you think.

4. BIBs Pacifiers:We tried the usual pacifier suspects, but none seemed to click. Then entered BIBs pacifiers, and suddenly, we were in paci paradise. Their unique shape helped him hold it in his mouth easier. Also, their adorable design made it oh so cute with his outfits.

5. The Humble Baby Swing:While the Mamaroo comes with glowing pediatrician endorsements, it didn’t quite match our wallet's enthusiasm. Instead, a simple electronic swing came our way—a gift that didn't boast all the features, but oh, how wonderfully it served us!

6. Warmies to the Rescue:Dealing with a colicky baby can tug at every heartstring. My saving grace? Warmies. Think of them as huggable, warm, lavender-scented miracles. A quick microwave stint, and its calming warmth would work wonders on my son's tummy. I’ve even seen them being advertised at my son's therapist's office!

The baby phase, with its unique joys and challenges, often becomes a trial-and-error dance to discover what works best for our little ones. And while every child is different, sharing our personal gems can sometimes be the lifeline another mama needs. As you embark on this beautiful journey, I pray you find your own set of essential lifesavers that resonate with your family's needs.

Sending love and blessings for every baby step, Manna 🌟
